Radio interview with USDEC's Al Levitt tells the story, along with what's needed to stay No. 1.

USDEC's Al Levitt was a guest on DairyLine Radio, reporting how U.S. dairy became the world's No. 1 exporter of cheese last year and what it needs to do to continue the trend.

Volume was up 22 percent to almost 700 million lbs. in 2013.

“That’s like exporting all the cheese produced in Minnesota,” Levitt said.
